The TF-Luna A03 is a compact 1D Time-of-Flight rangefinder from Benewake. Sub-$15 per unit, the workhorse of our long-range sensing channel.

Key behaviors
- Amplitude-based validity: distance reading is valid when
amp ≥ 100andamp ≠ 0xFFFF. Lower amplitude (weak reflection) or saturation (overexposure on a glossy surface) means the distance value is unreliable. See driver for the health-flag logic. - No frame separator. Packets stream back-to-back; the parser has to scan for
0x59 0x59to sync. - Temperature output: field 7-8 is the chip temperature in 1/8°C steps. Useful for thermal drift diagnostics.
